Lennart Segerström

Lennart Segerström

A trained mechanic, Lennart, took over Sprängaren and Sveparen in 2007. Had he not stepped in then, Sprängaren would probably not exist today.

Björn Lagersten

Björn Lagersten

Retired officer specialized in submarine warfare and icebreaking. Chairman of the Economic Association for the patrol boat Sprängaren until 2018.

Carl Åke Sjöberg

Carl Åke Sjöberg

Spent most of his life in the navy, as an inspector for new constructions, engineer for coastal corvettes, and as the commander of a maintenance battalion.

Leif Englund

Leif Englund

Former electronics engineer and telegraph operator on a submarine in the navy. Leif has been involved since the takeover in 2007.

Mats Krantz

Mats Krantz

Mats has always been interested in steam engines. A master brewer by profession, but today he is one of the boat’s engineers and project managers.

Ola Dahlqvist

Ola Dahlqvist

Former submarine technician. Afterwards, Ola worked as a maintenance engineer and operations manager. Today he is one of the boat’s engineers, among many other responsibilities.

Håkan Rugeland

Håkan Rugeland

Former engineer in the navy, Håkan has also worked in logistics within the armed forces. He is now the chairman of the Economic Association for Sprängaren.

Benjamin Hedlund

Benjamin Hedlund

With a background in economics and a strong interest in maritime affairs, Benjamin is today the auditor for the Economic Association of the patrol boat Sprängaren.

Bert Sandberg

Johan Sundberg

Previously worked in marketing at Flygt Pumps. Johan is now the chairman of Sprängaren’s friends’ association and an experienced helmsman.

Bert Sandberg

Enlisted as a stoker on Sprängaren from 1959–1960. He participated in the salvage of the warship Vasa in the autumn of 1959.

Kurt Ekstrand

Kurt Ekstrand

Kurt was the chief boatswain and machinist on Sprängaren from 1957–1961. He is one of the few who knows how the ship’s machinery operated during its active years.

Thomas Nilsson

Thomas Nilsson

A skilled carpenter who doesn’t shy away from any work. On Sprängaren, Thomas has, among many other things, crafted the impressive wooden mast.

Håkan Owesson

Håkan Owesson

He developed an early interest in everything mechanic, which eventually led to an engineering degree. He is at home with all types of metalwork.

Bengt Frisk

Bengt Frisk

A skilled mechanic, Bengt has been with Sprängaren from the beginning and contributed his expertise, as well as his sarcastic humor and good spirits to the operations.

Björn Börjesson

Björn Börjesson

A craftsman through and through. As a trained furniture carpenter, he has specialized in boatbuilding and the renovation of timber houses. These skills have greatly benefited Sprängaren.

Anders Forsberg

Anders Forsberg

A skilled mechanic and good friend who worked diligently on renovating everything from the large steam winch down to the smallest porthole.

Johan Lindgren

Johan Lindgren

A professional sailor, Johan has trained as a steam engineer for 75 kW and 750 kW engines and has enthusiastically participated in the restoration of Sprängaren.

Stefan Blomberg

Stefan Blomberg

He has contributed with carpentry and painting wherever needed, always with a sense of the historical context. His efforts for our ship are of lasting value.

Per Einar Strömme

Per Einar Strömme

Former telecom engineer at Ericsson, Per Einar has a steam engineer certification for both 75 kW and 750 kW engines and is a regular participant in our workdays.

Martin Forsberg

Martin Forsberg

Martin is a management consultant by profession and a steam engineer by passion. He is most often found in the engine room as a stoker or wherever help is needed.

Henrique Borges

Henrique Borges

Henrique has spent most of his adult life traveling around the world. As a designer and programmer, he is responsible for the digital side of Sprängaren.
