The Book about Sprängaren

The book about the patrol boat Sprängaren is a historical account from 1910 up to the present day. In 2007, a group of ship enthusiasts took over Sprängaren and its sister ship Sveparen with the aim of restoring one of the vessels. Sprängaren was chosen for restoration because Sveparen was in significantly worse condition. Both ships were towed to the Veteran Flotilla at Gålö, where a careful restoration began. Over time, a number of enthusiasts were gradually recruited to slowly and painstakingly start the restoration work one day a week. The workforce grew with more knowledge and expertise, while at the same time becoming aware of the tough challenges that lay ahead.
